Where to find gear?
A question as old as time! Finding gear can be a challenge and getting started can be intimidating. We have put together some resources that can make the process of finding gear somewhat more simple. We hope that these resources can be helpful no matter your experiance; we start with more basic sources and as you scroll they become more niche. CSU Outdoor Gear Rentals
Student Rec Center 3-6pm, Monday to Friday
OGR offers members a variety of commonly used equipment items to rent such as sleeping bags, tents, backpacking packs, snowshoes, camp stoves, & so much more! Membership is $25 a semester and you are able to take six items for up to five days...as many times as you want throughout the semester!! This is a great resource for trying new things as it is a cheep and easily accessible option for acquiring gear. Gear is available on a first come first serve basis.
Gear Consignment
This is a great option if you are ready to purchase your own gear! The two shops in town are affordable options for high quality second hand gear. This is a great way to find ALL sorts of gear and is always a great spot to begin the gear search!

This is a great way to look at a wider inventory of used gear!! Typically, gear in appropriately priced and in good shape.
